PHASE 2: THE "BEAM" (ANDROID TO ANDROID)
If you have an Android, you can give the app to anyone nearby, even without internet. This is how the network grows in the shadows.
- Open Briar > Settings > Share this app offline.
- The other person connects to your Wi-Fi hotspot and downloads the file.
- The Bypass: They must tap "Allow from this source" when the phone warns them about an "Unknown App."
PHASE 3: THE IPHONE SURVIVAL GUIDE
Apple devices are highly secure but very restrictive. If you are an iPhone user, follow these rules:
- Bridgefy is your best bet: It is the most reliable mesh app that works on iOS. Download it now and open it once while you still have internet to complete the setup.
- Permissions: When asked, you MUST allow Bluetooth and Location Services (Always). Without these, the mesh cannot "find" other phones.
- Airdrop: While you can't share the app, you can use Airdrop to share maps, photos, and intel with other iPhone users nearby without any apps at all.
